One of Miamis biggest problems is the single most politically corrupt ethnicity that I can think of running it all. Percentage wise as far as corrupt politicians in America go I doubt anyone can hold a candle to us.

We fleeced Cuba dry and same in Miami . Miami Cuban political corruption has been a financial kiss of death for Miami . Thank God for federal gvm't.

If you look at Miami's Cuban political history it has been staggering corruption which is expected- accepted and reelected in Miami's Cuban politics.
Self serving politicians are the norm here and what is corrupt in most places and they go to jail is no big deal here.

With so so many 1 issue-purely ethnic voters nothing will change unless non Cubans in mass start to vote and now simply being White Cuban or Cuban is no longer a criteria to holding higher office.
In truth the day we no longer hold office in Miami is the day Miami might start moving in the right direction.

If I had not lived in NY after leaving Cuba I would be a typical "Miami" Cuban which is what we non blind ,non ethnic voting Cuban Americans call Hispanic separatist rednecks.
I would have had the same low political standards and probably same racist-self defeating separatist mentality that so many here have (NOT All but plenty).

Look at the TYPICAL Miami Cuban politician Marco Rubio he puts down illegals yet like a TYPICAL Miami Cuban politician doesn't mention that due to wet/dry bias/racist policy Cubans are not subjected to same immigration laws as othes. We have our cake and eat it to while others can eat bread crumbs.

Miami will go a long way when the hypocrite "we are better than you" mentality is voted out of power.
If you want an all inclusive gvm't that cares about social issues like public transportation,etc and that grasp/cares that its job is to do for ALL its citizens Cuban OR NOT ,rich or poor than you do not want us in power.
