Review: Certified Mobile Tech

21 April 2009: Our only family car spent the night broken down on Virginia Key. I found Pedro's info on the internet this morning and phoned him. His understanding of my problem and surprising grasp of a rather complex auto electrical connection assuaged my well-earned skepticism of Miami mechanics. Pedro picked me up at home off Brickell, drove me to my car, diagnosed and solved the problem (frozen gear- shift)within minutes. To top it off, he checked my tires & brakes, changed 2 lightbulbs, then billed me 20% less than his originally quoted price. Oh yes----- and he paid the bridge toll himself. On top of which he is a very nice guy, highly articulate, widely knowledgeable about all things automotive, totally tool-equipped, and clearly HONEST. Pedro is the poster child for the entrepreneurial, American small businessman. My poor Navigator has 145,000 miles, so I know I'll be seeing Pedro again. Probably quite soon. And you know, I'm almost looking forward to it. Thanks, Pedro!

I am going to write my own review of Pedro since I am a loyal customer of his. The first time I worked with him was over a year ago, since then I have not employed any other mechanic. His work is impeccable, and done in an extreme professional manner. He is a true gentleman and true to his words- when he says "I will be there at this time", expect him at that time.
He has worked on both of my cars since that first meeting and I have grown to appreciate his honesty and profesional behavior on more than 5 occasions.
Being a cynic in our Magic City is a good thing, but totally a wrong emotion when talking about Pedro.
I recommend him to anyone who needs a mechanic, and I pass out his cards and numbers to my friends.

CMT is AWESOME!!! My girlfriend's minivan just made a loud click when she tried to start to go to church on Sunday and we called Pedro because we were stuck at her house and needed to either tow it to a repair shop, or for someone to come to us... on a Sunday. He was there in a half hour, removed the part and returned later that day and installed the new starter. Instead of sitting in a filthy car repair shop we cooked dinner, watched a movie and instead of a wasted day stuck without a car in a bad neighborhood, we relaxed at home like nothing happened. His price was perfectly reasonable, and we saved $75 because we didn't need a tow truck. I will never recommend anyone but Pedro! His work was fast, professional and he did it on a Sunday within minutes of my phone call. I liked his service so much we're going to hire him to fix our AC too!

This is second time Pedro fixed my Toyota Camry 2005 he is my personal mechanic and I recommended him to my family and friends.
He is very professsional,and has the time to explain in a simple language what he is doing with my car.

was referred to Pedro by a friend when no-one else could figure out why my car kept overheating, NO not even the dealership could figure it out. Needless to say, the dealership sold me a small fortune in new parts such as a new radiator, water pump, thermostat, and a few other parts... yet the vehicle kept overheating and the dealership took no responsibility for being wrong on all counts. I called Pedro of Certified Mobile Tech. and made an appointment. He called me to remind me of the appointment. And was very prompt. He did a thorough assessment of my sports car and quickly figured out the problem. He did an acid flush of the cooling system which cleard an obstruction in the engine block and cured the problem immediately. This man is the only person I trust and use to work on any of my 4 vehicles now. He truly knows what he's doing and will explain it to you. You can throw your money away OR you can call Certified Mobile Tech. He's very proffesional and worth waiting for.

I found Pedro Talevera to be a competant and thorough auto mechanic and the fact that he is a mobile mechanic is a definite plus........ the convienance of having the person come to you helps. His pricing is fair and the fact that he is knowledgeable makes me feel self assured about placing my car in his hands..

Obviously someone was hired, or possibly some family member, wrote most if not all of these reviews. I live in Miami. Not everyone in the city is so eloquent. I keep seeing the same phrases repeated in these reviews. Not only that but they're all written a day or two after each other. Give me a break. No one has anything remotely negative to say? This forum is open to public opinion. If there are people that have something negative about Pedro (that is true) it will be here. But the fact that most people love Pedro is a good thing for him I guess.

I'm a young women, and you know how uncomfortable and insecure one can feel going to the mechanics; most of them are disrespectful and may take advantage of someone that they think don’t know much about mechanics. Since I met Mr. Pedro I liked the way he works; he treats me with respect and explains me things about my car. I highly recommend him. He is not only excellent at what he do, but also honest, efficient and will respond very quick.

I would highly recommend Pedro to anyone in need of a good, honest mechanic. He came out to my location with short notice on a Sunday afternoon with the parts already on-hand to make the repair. He is incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining everything during the process. This was my first time using an at home mechanic service. I was unsure, but pedro was very helpful and professional. he explained everything to me and even fixed something on my tire for free. I am extremely comfortable and confident in knowing that he is competent and taking care of my car as if it is his own great example of what a true mechanic is.....

Pedro fixed my 2003 Caravan to perfection. He came to my job, I gave him the key and in two hours he did a tune up and front brakes.used the dealer before but they are too far and I waste my whole day. I had Pedro come out to check out a used car I was going to buy from a dealer. I called him, and he made it punctually to the destination. He was very courteous and methodic. He did a very thorough checkup on the car. After his thorough checkup he test drove the vehicle. He noticed a lapse in acceleration and suggested possible problems. He advised me to have the dealer sign in writing that they would diagnose and fix the problem free of charge without any maximum caps. This surely helped me to avoid future aggravation of this problem...which I would have otherwise had to pay for myself! I highly recommend him! Thanks, Pedro!

I am so impressed with Perdo's service skills! He is the most professional, personable, and thorough mechanic I have ever worked with. He is very kind and willing to answer,(as well as educate) any question or concern you have. Prices are good, and in most cases he comes to YOU!
