Why tip-off the Iranians one way or the other about a possible strike on their nuclear facilities?

Pity the Obama administration didn't have this lead to follow when in his glory day of killing bin Laden, he just had to give himself another bump by announcing that the Seal time had also secured computers and hard drives from bin Laden's house.

Why would anyone in (or, of) intelligence knowingly tip off of bin Laden's supporters that such such information had been obtained?

Even if were just his favorite oatmeal cookie recipes, there is no sound reason to let anyone know they existed. But you can bet once that little tidbit of info had been revealed, bin Laden's comrades began a thorough scrub of what he 'could' have had.

But Obama needed a couple more points in the polls.

If Iran does achieve a nuclear weapon, Israel already has nuclear weapons. Would Iran attack Israel? By using Nuclear weapons on Israel Iran would render the land inhabitable and the inevitable counter attack would be a zero sum. No winner. Maybe Peacekeeper IS an appropriate name for nuclear weapom unless the holder does not want peace.

Then again peaceful gun owners have killed during fits of rage. A nuclear can a HUGE gun.

World peace is a child's fantasy. There will always be wars as long as there is competition for resources.

The 21st century promises to be more warlike than the 20th century was, because of the increasing overpopulation of the planet. People's appetite for war increases pretty quickly when they don't have enough water but their neighbor does.

Especially after that "exercise video" halftime Super Bowl fiasco. That was just awful! She used to be innovative and had good pipes but, God help her, she stunk up the place. Her vocals were weak and forgettable. Whatever she had, she's lost. At least she had some reasonably good background singers. The dancing was like watching an exercise video, totally uninspiring.
